Voluntary work
Philanthropy has been implementing organised voluntary work since 2000. The purpose of voluntary work if twofold: improving life quality of Philanthropy’s beneficiaries, but also active involvement of citizens in the process of enhancement and strengthening of local communities and society as a whole. Trained, qualified volunteers are involved in Philanthropy’s long-term programmes, such as providing support for children and youth deprived of parental care and programmes providing psycho-social support to people living with HIV/AIDS. Additionally, Philanthropy’s volunteers are engaged in the humanitarian, emergency response programmes.
Philanthropy has been recorded as an organiser of voluntary programmes by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs since 2011, and has been regularly providing reports on the results of voluntary programmes.
